Posts to the tribute of Frank S. Ungar

I've always remembered the conversation Mr. Unger had with my Dad after I had a bad game when I was still a goaltender. He told my Dad I was too small to be a goalie and I should give playing forward a shot. I did and I always appreciated that. I didn't care for being a goalie and moving to forward was absolutely what I wanted..... Thanks coach for always having insight and compassion for the many kids you touched over the years!! You'll ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED!! RIP COACH!!

Coach Ungar was the best. Many fond memories of him, and our outstanding Ecorse hockey teams. As I grew older, playing for various coaches on teams in high school and college, I grew to appreciate Coach Ungar even more. He made it fun for us, but at the same time was tough when needed.
