I recall Eric from our first encounter. My daughter had brought him home to meet her Mother and I. I said to myself, "Oh good Ashley found a good looking kid." He was soft spoken and he was very polite and respectful. Eric was a caring and loving father. I remember him video-talking to Ethan many times for hours on the phone discussing some game (Geometry Dash) that I had no idea what the heck it was. I can tell you that those times have meant a great deal to an 8 year old child, so much so, that now, Ethan sits on my lap and plays that game and tries to explain it to a 63 year old how he and his Dad would do this, and how his Dad would do that. I can hear Eric and Ethan on that phone still. Eric also taught my grandson to draw. Eric was an excellent drawer. I came home 1 day from work and there was a Spartan logo on the side of my refrigerator.. It was great. Ethan has picked up that talent some how. I know Eric wanted the best for his children. I know that Ethan loved him very much and will miss him with each day. I know my wife and I will miss having him around. Rest in Peace Eric, we Love You!!! Big Tim and Brenda - PS. Thanks for sharing this Tim. I'm his aunt (mother's side) and I missed so much of his life. I cherish each and every shared memory of him. I hope this wall gets fuller and fuller with shared memories. Best to you, your family, and most of all, Ethan.

I'll never forget talking to Eric at one of our family reunions. I was surprised at how long he talked with me. He was kind, open, and very positive. He clearly loved his sons and his family very, very much. I remember how his beautiful blue eyes reminded me of his mother (my sister). He will be remembered often, loved deeply always, and missed by all who knew him. Kati's comment that he and his father will be together again in heaven is reassuring. I do hope that in the years that follow we are all together again in peace and love. May God hold you now, Eric.
