Something that my mom had told was that my papa was there in the hospital the day I was born, he never missed a birthday and If he did he never wanted to. He left me voicemails every birthday just to sing to me. If it wasn’t for him my house would have fell apart. We could call him whenever asking for help and he would be there as soon as he could just to help us and really anybody out. Always so happy and never failed to put a smile on my face. He gave me a new part of family, cousins and an aunt I couldn’t be grateful for. Even if I wasn’t his blood he always treated me like I was and loved me everyday. I miss him more than anything.

From fishing to guns to hunting to building decks to anything really any questions I had about anything my papa could answer on the spot or or just make a solution to any problem anyone had. He had the best soul in this world like no other, I have never seen my grandfather really stress out about anything in my eyes from what I’ve seen he has always had a solution to everything and I applaud him for giving his family extra time with him he was ready a while ago but his heart was so big he danced in the rain for his family went thru so much pain for us he fought like no other. The original energizer bunny. Every time I do anything there will always be something that reminds me of him cause he taught me almost anything and everything I know. He was what this world needed would take the shirt off his back for literally anyone shit he has I have never seen someone who was such at peace at what he had so happy to just pick up a hammer and get to building shit for fun doesn’t matter if it was for money or not he just really like making art he would always show me how much of a good businessman he was as in he wasn’t in it for the money just to see the look on peoples face of his work. I used to go on jobs with this man the tiniest imperfections in his deck literally to anyone else’s eye couldn’t tell the difference but his eyes could he wouldn’t care if he had to take it down and rebuild it he had to make sure his work was perfect which it absolutely was. I literally have nothing to say bad about this man everything he ever did was for the care of others he did not care about him self but the people he was around he would destroy the whole world for. Anyone that has anything bad to say about this good hearted soul karma will be on your ass. I wouldn’t have asked for any other grandfather he has taught me a lot about life in general with our talks hunting or building this man taught me how to be a man and chin up and keep it pushing. I can literally go on and on about how this man is a upstanding person in all aspects of life but I’d be writing for aslong as he was alive too much crazy stuff this man did in a short amount of time he out does anything anyone I know. I love my papa he has a special place in my heart fasho.

He was definitely the best papa/dad anyone could ask for!! He loved you son, he was there when you were born. He definitely loved his grand kids as much as his kids, if not more. You had some special times with him, hunting, fishing, working, just the amount of time you and your sister got to spend with him was absolutely priceless. I am very grateful for that as well. It was super important to me that you both got to spend so much time with papa! I love you bud!!

The best papa ever. The man who could literally do anything, he always had your back no matter what. He was my biggest supporter. You would be so proud of me too papa, I got your pacemaker you told me to take and sell on Craigslist. But I’m not going to sell it. I’m keeping it forever to forever carry your heart with me.

Best papa ever!! He loved you and Brendan so much! He was very proud of you both! I'm so glad he was able to watch you when you were little, so I didn't have to put you in daycare. He was there when you were born. So much bonding time you had together. I'm so grateful, again priceless time you had with him! He always called you and your brother his babies. He was and will forever be with you! I love you Bre

Dave was truly a master carpenter! He could do anything. Dave was John’s best friend and now they can be together again. I remember one time Dave and John were grilling fresh tenderloins and they would have eaten them all but I went out to see if they were done and there was only a couple left. I know we are sad that Dave is no longer with us but it makes me happy to know that John has his buddy with him.

Had a great time and enjoyed his company going with him to the padlock show in Indianapolis last year and was hoping to do the same this year. Dave was a very special friend and person and will be missed greatly. Condolences to all the family and friends.

Dave, my eldest nephew and friend. So many years of memories. This side of your family loved you. My brother Ray loved you as his son. My Mom and Dad thought the world of you. You were a great husband, father, grandfather and brother to Sandy, Cindy, and Chris. I will miss our sporting, and family time together. Thank you for your visit the other day. I know that was you Dave you are always welcome. Second to none. I love you.
