Beloved husband of Madeleine Jones. Loving father of Melisa (Roger) Burnett, Matthew (Jen) Jones and Melanie Jones (Marc Mainville). Dearest grandfather of Buckley (Lauren), Dylan (Kate), Ryan, Madison, Evelyn and Max.
Great grandfather of Jade. Dear brother of Susan (Mickey) Cochran.

Michael Roger Jones passed away on February 11, 2023 at the age of 76, surrounded by family. He was born on April 15th, 1946 in Monroe, Michigan. His parents were Elsie Hyatt Bugbee and Hal Edgar Jones. Mike grew up in Flat Rock, Michigan with his many cousins, while also spending time in Salt Lake City, Utah and Denver, Colorado. He attended Trenton High School in Trenton, Michigan and eventually graduated from George Washington High School in Denver, Colorado where he met his future wife Madeleine Gail Buckley by throwing clay at her in art class. After high school he moved with Madeleine to the Detroit area where they both graduated from Wayne State University. Mike worked as an engineer for Ford Motor Company until he retired in 2002. The project he was most proud of was the revival of the Ford Thunderbird in 2001, where he was Lead Engineer. He spent his retirement years traveling the world, his favorite places included Hawaii, Egypt, Alaska and the Panama Canal. In addition to traveling, Mike liked to build models, photography, gardening, playing cards, golfing and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife Madeleine Jones, his children, Melisa (Roger) Burnett, Matthew (Jen) Jones and Melanie (Mark Mainville) Jones, his grandchildren, Buck (Lauren) Neal, Dylan (Kate) Neal, Ryan, Madison, Evelyn and Max, his great grandchild, Jade and his sister Susan (Mickey) Cochran and her children Adam (April) Cochran and Allison (Josh) Patterson.
Cremation will take place at The On-Site Crematory, located within Molnar Funeral Homes – Brownstown Chapel.
