Obituary of Ruth E. Short
November 9, 1934 - January 30, 2025
Ruth E. Short. Age 90 of Trenton.
Ruth Elaine Beck was born on November 9, 1934 in Wyandotte General Hospital. God handpicked her parents, Mildred and John Beck. She was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church. Ruth graduated from Wyandotte Roosevelt High School in 1952. Growing up and throughout her life, she attended local christian churches. Ruth married Bob Short in 1958 at the Presbyterian Church in Ecorse where they were very active. Eventually, they moved to Trenton where Bob had fallen in love with the beautiful neighborhood and they had a home built. Soon after moving they joined St. Paul Lutheran Church in Trenton and became lifelong members. Ruth worked for United Airlines for 30 years as a concierge. After retiring, she became a patient sitter at Wyandotte Hospital.
Ruth is survived by her daughter, Debra Short, granddaughter Paris Little, nieces and nephews: Beverly Podgorski, Thomas (Betty) Short, James Short and Sandra (Rick) Bouchard. She is also survived by many great nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband Robert Short and her son John Short.
