Edward graduated from St. Francis Xavier High School, Lincoln Park, Michigan in 1947.  In 1948, he joined the Army Air Corps, became a medical staff sergeant, and was honorably discharged from the US Air Force in 1952. After his service, he attended the University of Notre Dame and graduated in 1956 with a degree in Business Administration. Ed was a proud “Fighting Irish” fan for his entire life. It was at Notre Dame that he met his future wife Patricia Kunich of Toledo, Ohio. They wed in May 1957.  The couple settled in Trenton and raised three children. Ed was employed at Michigan Bell Telephone Company and Ford Motor Company, where he worked in telecommunications for 30 years until his retirement in May 1991. Ed was a man of strong faith and was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Trenton, Michigan where he was a member of the Dad’s Club and the 150th Anniversary Committee.

In his retirement years, Ed enjoyed being with his grandchildren, golfing, gardening, and exploring his family ancestry.

He was a good man of faith, integrity, and honesty, and was a quiet role model to his family. He will be deeply missed.
