Obituary of Jo Mahaffey
August 12, 1954 - May 7, 2025
Jo Linda (Chadwick) Mahaffey of Brownstown.
Beloved wife of 36 years to Dennis Mahaffey. Loving mother of Rebecca Hatley. Beloved daughter of Edward and Edith Chadwick. Dearest sister of Becky Chadwick. Cherished sister-in-law, aunt and great-aunt to many brother/sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Devoted friend to many lifelong neighborhood friends.
Jo grew up in Lincoln Park and graduated from Lincoln Park High School in 1972. After graduating, she worked at Ford Motor Company’s Office of the General Counsel (legal department) where she met her husband Dennis. After 31 years at Ford, she retired but returned to work part time at Henry Ford College in the college’s Foundation and legal departments. After 8 years, she retired from the college to join her husband in retirement where they went on many travel adventures throughout the United States and Europe.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Alzheimer’s Organization are appreciated.
