Obituary of Herbert Smith
October 13, 1922 – June 11, 2025
Herbert “Herb” Smith. Age 102 of Grosse Ile, formerly of Wyandotte.
Beloved grandfather of Melissa (Charles “Chuck”) Everhart and Miranda Smith. Dearest great-grandfather of Charlie and Sam Everhart. Dear friend of Francine Boye and her son Bud.
Preceded in death by wife Phyllis J. (nee: White) Smith and wife Shirley J. (nee: Robine) Smith, children - Bruce H. Smith, Barbara L. Smith, Brian R. Smith and infant Nancy Smith, siblings - twin infant Howard, Jean Smith, Darlene Needham and Barbara Schafer.
Herb was an Army Air Corps World War II Veteran and a lifetime member of American Legion Post #217, VFW Post #1136 and Lincoln Park Ionic Lodge #539.
