Family Tribute ~

Joe was the kind of person who intuitively knew how to make people feel seen and cared for. He extended his love and generosity in ways you couldn’t ask for—he just did. He listened to understand and had strong faith in God, which he would want to be remembered for.

He loved his big family fiercely. Joe was always ready to talk if you needed him and would show up anytime, night or day. He put in hard work to keep family traditions alive; events like Family Weekend, the Youngs Family Carp Fest and St. Paddy’s Day were a labor of love for Joe.

As an occupational therapist, Joe worked with people who suffered from TBIs. He thrived in his work, letting his authentic care and talent for supporting others shine. He always said how lucky he was to love his job.

Joe was a huge Detroit sports fan, cheering for the Tigers, Lions, and Red Wings. An athlete and coach himself, he played hockey, baseball, and volleyball. He adored music—Motown, oldies, classic musicals—and never hesitated to get the dance floor started. He’d take anyone in the family willing to join him to see *Jersey Boys*. He was also a garage-saling, flea-marketing fiend who loved collecting treasures.

Joe Youngs was a treasure in this world. His love was evident in his actions and his aura. All who knew him were better for it, and he will be remembered for his sweet smile and loving heart—always.
