Family Tribute ~
In Loving Memory of Rose Vitale
Rose Vitale was born on March 2, 1931, in Detroit, Michigan. She spent her early years in the city before her family moved to the neighboring town of Wyandotte, where she built lasting memories with family and friends. It was in Wyandotte that she married her husband of 70 years, Gaetano (Tom) Vitale, and together they raised four children: Serafina, Marco, Katherine, and Nancy.
Rose's life was deeply rooted in family, faith, food, and fun. She was devoted to raising her children and nurturing strong bonds with those around her, always showing others warmth and grace.
In 1975, Rose and Tom moved to Western Michigan with their two youngest daughters, where they became co-owners and operators of the Parkview Motel in Hastings. After many hardworking years, they retired in Kentwood, Michigan. Their family continued to grow, bringing the joy of grandchildren and great-grandchildren into Rose’s life.
In 2010, Rose and Tom returned to the Downriver area, settling in Woodhaven to be closer to loved ones once again.
Rose will always be remembered for her exceptional cooking, her generous hospitality, and her unwavering love for God and family. She embodied a quiet strength—never seeking the spotlight, yet always present, dependable, and loving.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
