James “Jimmy” Harnden. Age 84 of Brownstown Township.
Beloved husband of Mary Ellen Harnden. Loving father of Debra Harnden.
Family Tribute ~
James A. Harnden passed on Friday, October 3, 2025 at 1:30 PM. Funeral arrangements were handled by Molnar Funeral Home, Brownstown, Michigan. His cremated remains were placed to rest at Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, Brownstown, Michigan with three other family members.
James was born and raised in Detroit, MI, on May 23rd, 1941. He leaves his wife of 64 wonderful years, Mary Ellen and his very loved daughter Debra.
Following the graduation of high school, James enlisted into the United States Air Force. He served 4 years within the United States and overseas and was honorably discharged in 1963.
He worked both production and management for Stellantis Corporation, formerly known as Chrysler Corporation, and retired after 30 years.
James was an avid sportsman. He was a great fan of the Red Wings hockey and Tigers baseball. He played both these sports in his younger years. More recently, he enjoyed playing golf and bowling. He was a very talented bowler, winning many trophies and prizes in his lifetime.
James was a true family man and nothing compared to the time spent with his family.
He is dearly loved, missed and will be in our hearts always.

John Molnar, Sr. opened the Detroit Hungarian Funeral Home, now the Molnar Funeral Homes, in 1923. The funeral home began in his home until relocating across the street to it's Delray location at 8623 Dearborn Avenue, in 1936.
