September 7, 1955 – October 21, 2025
Carol J. Simmons. Age 70 of Wyandotte.
Dear sister of Julie (John) Franchini, Daniel (Suzy) Simmons, Joan (Matt) Weisberg and Sue Simmons.
~ Family Tribute ~
Carol was a graduate of St. Elizabeth Catholic School and Wyandotte Roosevelt High School. She enjoyed playing sports at St. Elizabeth and participated in student government in high school.
Carol spent over 40 years in the banking industry. She started her career at National Bank of Wyandotte-Taylor and retired from PNC in 2020. Throughout her career, she built a loyal banking clientele and made many lifelong friends. Her beautiful dimples and bright smile were her distinguishing features.
Although she didn’t have children of her own, Carol was very involved in the lives of her nieces and nephews and their children. She was extremely generous and was always on the lookout for the perfect gift that would delight her family members.
Apart from work, Carol was involved with many organizations. She volunteered with the Wyandotte Kiwanis Club and the Rotary Club and traveled to Taiwan with the group during her year as president. In memory of her grandmother, she volunteered at the Wyandotte General Hospital gift shop for over 10 years.
Carol will be remembered as a supportive and enthusiastic big sister to her siblings and a loving daughter who cared for her parents in their final years. She was preceded in death by her parents Mary and Dale, paternal grandparents Oden and Cornella Simmons, and maternal grandparents James and Dorothy Howard. She is survived by her siblings, her eight nieces and nephews and their families; her aunt Nancy Ausum; her uncle Tom Simmons; and many cousins.
We will always carry her memory in our hearts.

Our History
John Molnar, Sr. opened the Detroit Hungarian Funeral Home, now the Molnar Funeral Homes, in 1923. The funeral home began in his home until relocating across the street to it's Delray location at 8623 Dearborn Avenue, in 1936. He had a strong work ethic and believed that you should never stop learning...
