Loving mother of Debbie Lynn (Bernard) Lancour and Alton (Colleen) Hackney. Dearest grandmother of James Lancour, Willy Lancour, Robert Lancour, James (Alex) Hackney and Kathleen Hackney. Great grandmother of Makayla Wiacek, Elliott Hackney, Mason Gardner, Gracelynn Gardner and Morgan Hackney. Dear sister of L.D. (Ronnie) Benson. Preceded in death by parents George and Pearl Benson and siblings Lily Davis, George Edward Benson, Ethelene Cagle, Alvin Benson, Iver Jean Benson and Lola Gaye Prescott.

The funeral home began in his home until relocating across the street to it's Delray location at 8623 Dearborn Avenue, in 1936.
