Obituary of Eloise V. Connor
April 28, 1930 – January 3, 2026
Eloise V. Connor. Age 95 of Romulus.
Eloise Connor (Jewell) passed away on January 3, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unmistakable fire. A lifelong force of nature, Eloise was vibrant, fierce, and never one to fade quietly into the background.
A native of Maryland and later a resident of Michigan, Eloise lived a life rooted in connection. She wore many titles with pride—mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and great-grandmother—and poured herself fully into each one. She was a retired worker and a dedicated volunteer, always ready to lend her time, her energy, or her voice when something mattered. Above all, she loved people. Whether socializing, playing cards, or simply being in the middle of the conversation, Eloise thrived wherever there was laughter and company.
She was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Wilma Lee Chenowith, and her daughter, Karen Connor.
Eloise is survived by her son Larry Connor (Susan Connor), daughter Marla Colapietro (Aldo Colapietro), grandson Larry Connor (Tiffany Connor), granddaughter Tamara Hornby (Geoff Hornby), and her great-granddaughters Ellen Connor and Amelia Mae Hornby. Her family will remember her as bold, loving, and unapologetically herself—a woman whose presence filled every room and whose absence will be deeply felt.
The family will hold a private ceremony in Maryland, Eloise’s home state, to celebrate her life and honor her memory.
