Obituary of Michael J. Stasie

Michael J. Stasie. Age 71 of Woodhaven.
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Michael Joseph Stasie.
Michael’s memory lives in the hearts of his Siblings Mary (Rick) Rozycki, John (Tabitha) Stasie, Amy (Boyd) Quinton, his treasured nephews and nieces; Steven (Emily) Rozycki, Alex Ochman, Ryan Rozycki, Addison Stasie, Stasie Ochman, Emily Stasie, Jaye Stasie. Great nephew and niece; Carter Rozycki, Cora Rozycki. Michael was proceeded in death by his parents, Alexander and Dorothy Stasie.
Michael was born in Detroit, Michigan on March 22nd, 1954 to Alexander and Dorothy Stasie. He attended Lincoln Park schools and later went on to attend Eastern Michigan University. He later moved to a warmer climate, Key West Florida. He spent more than 25 years working as a Manager at The Rooftop Cafe before relocating to Las Vegas, Nevada. Michael’s recent move to Michigan in 2020 was to be closer to family and friends. Michael’s lifelong career in the food and beverage industry, combined with destination locations, Key West and Las Vegas, culminated in a vast network of friends and family enjoying the finest foods and Entertainment throughout the world.
Michael will be remembered for his personable nature, kindness, and the ability to talk and connect with others. He loved spending time with family and friends and was known to pop in even if only for a few minutes. He had a passion for the arts, entertainment, fine dining and music, and loved to travel the world, watch sports, play tennis and golf. Most of all he loved to spend time with Family and Friends, so many people loved him.
A small private service will take place on Friday, January 16th, 2026 at Michigan Memorial Cemetery at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are appreciated to Tunnels to Towers Foundation.

John Molnar, Sr. opened the Detroit Hungarian Funeral Home, now the Molnar Funeral Homes, in 1923. The funeral home began in his home until relocating across the street to it's Delray location at 8623 Dearborn Avenue, in 1936.
