Obituary of Janice Ruth Cornell
December 24, 1950 - January 27, 2026
Janice Ruth Cornell, age 76 of Lincoln Park entered eternal peace on January 26, 2026. She was born December 24, 1950, in Detroit, Michigan.
Janice graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School in 1969 and continued her education to become a nurse at Wyandotte General Hospital, where she took great pride in caring for her patients for many years. She married the love of her life, Ron C., on May 26, 1972. Janice went on to further her career and became a nursing home administrator. Later, Janice and Ronald retired to enjoy time at their vacation home in Florida. She was preceded in death by her son, Kevin Cornell, in May 2011. Janice was very proud of her family, loved them deeply, and enjoyed watching their achievements.
Janice is survived by her husband, Ronald Cornell; her son, Paul Cornell; daughter-in-law, Amanda Cornell; and granddaughter, Zosia Cornell. Her memory will forever live on through her family, and she will be deeply missed by every life she touched.
