Obituary of Michael J. Curylo
March 24, 1939 - January 28, 2026
Michael John Curylo. Age 86 of Van Buren Township.
Born in Detroit, Michael was the son of the late Hedwig (Hattie) and Paul Curylo. Beloved husband of the late Margaret Curylo. Loving father of Pamela (Mike) Thrift, Cindy (John) Hart, Michael A. Curylo and David (Jessie) Curylo. Dearest brother of Richard Curylo and Paul Curylo. Also survived by 4 loving grandchildren: Amber Thrift, Adam Thrift, Liberty Curylo and Dillon Curylo; one great grandson, Aden Santiago; as well as by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will have a private ceremony. In lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated to St. Jude Children’s Research hospital, Easter Seals or March of Dimes.

In loving memory of Michael J. Curylo; known by family and friends as “The Man, The Myth, The Legend” and “Mr. Fix It” guy. He would go out of his way to help anyone he could - anywhere and anytime - if he was able. A true handyman full of knowledge and wisdom, who loved sharing his many stories. He loved going to restaurants, working in the yard, fixing things; but above all, he loved his family deeply. He was a devoted husband to his late wife, Margaret (his honey) and a devoted father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to many.
He is now our angel in heaven, reunited with “his honey” where they will both be our guardian angels looking down and watching over us all on earth.
