Obituary of Christopher Robert LeBlanc
February 1, 1957 - February 21, 2026
Christopher R. LeBlanc (Chris). Age 69 of Wyandotte.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Christopher R. LeBlanc (Chris) of Wyandotte, MI, age 69, date of birth February 1, 1957. He unexpectedly passed away at his home February 21, 2026.
Christopher was born to Robert and Joan LeBlanc of Wyandotte, MI. He was born into a large family, as Chris was the 4th child of 10.
Chris attended St. Elizabeth in Wyandotte, until the family moved to Allen Park, MI where Chris attended public school. He graduated from Roosevelt High School in Wyandotte through adult education.
Chris married Melanie (Pluff) LeBlanc on January 30, 1984, and shared three sons. Daniel LeBlanc, Matthew LeBlanc and Robert LeBlanc. He was divorced at the time of his death, but had maintained a civil relationship with his son's mother for years, enjoying family holidays, BBQ's and get togethers.
During his time on earth, Chris enjoyed spending time with family, up north, hunting, swimming, Nascar, classic cars. His favorite show to watch was the Three Stooges. He grew up at his families business, Elmer's Rustic Steak Pit, helping his dad and learning how to cook delicious food. Specifically, the Elmer Burger was his favorite. Then went on to his concrete business, then eventually driving semi. He was driving up until his accident in February of 2018, then became disabled. His accident resulted in many surgeries, as his injuries were intensive, and healing was lengthy.
Chris is survived by his sons Daniel (Heather) LeBlanc, Matthew LeBlanc, Robert LeBlanc, grandchildren Jacob LeBlanc (16), Joshua LeBlanc (15), Lillian LeBlanc (14), Peyton Abbott (13), and Colton LeBlanc (9). He missed being able to see his grandsons and thought of them every day hoping to see them again. He loved his family very much. He is also survived by his siblings Denise Eshaki, Elmer LeBlanc, Barbara Pingitore, Nancy (Craig) Whitney, Leann Belknap, David LeBlanc, and Brian LeBlanc. Chris had seven (7) nephews and two (2) nieces, and one great niece.
Chris is preceded in death by his father Robert B. LeBlanc, older brother Robert Charles LeBlanc, younger sister Linda A. LeBlanc.
A Celebration of Life will be held on March 7, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM for family. Friends visitation from 10:30 AM to 5:00 PM at Thon Funeral Home in Wyandotte, MI.
