Obituary of Charles Jones
October 9, 1944 - February 23, 2026
Charles “Chuck” Jones. Age 81 of Lincoln Park.
Beloved father of John (Tanisha) Jones and Josh (Nicole) Jones. Loving grandfather of Francesca, Enzo, Edie and Harrison. Also survived by friend and mother of his children Vicki Maynard. Preceded in death by his brother Ronald Jones.
Family Tribute ~
Chuck was born in Wyandotte, Michigan to Hazel and Clover Jones. Graduated from Roosevelt Highschool, Wyandotte in 1962 and obtained his bachelor's degree from University of Michigan.
He also served overseas in Germany for the United States Army.
Chuck was very involved in the Detroit drag racing community during the 70’s and 80’s and continued building model cars as a hobby.
Chuck was strong with his faith and was a long time member of the Rouge Free Will Baptist Church of Wyandotte.
Nothing compared to the joy his family, especially his grandchildren brought to him.
