Obituary of David W. Kubiak
August 21, 1960 – March 1, 2026
David William Kubiak. Age 65 of Wyandotte.
David was a beloved husband and devoted father whose greatest pride was his family. He is survived by his wife, Kati Chatay Kubiak, and his daughters, Rebecca Dawn Kubiak and Lorelai Noelle Kubiak. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clair Kubiak and Denise Kubiak, and by his sister Dawn Herbison.
David dedicated his professional life to working as an X-ray, CT, and Interventional Radiology technologist. He was respected for his knowledge, steady presence, and commitment to his patients and colleagues throughout his career.
Outside of work, David was a passionate sports fan. He rarely missed watching his beloved New England Patriots, Detroit Red Wings, or Detroit Tigers. He was also a longtime Jimmy Buffett fan, appreciating the laid-back spirit and music that brought a little bit of sunshine wherever it played. Whether cheering on his teams or listening to his favorite songs, David brought loyalty and enthusiasm to the things he loved.
Above all, David will be remembered as a devoted husband and loving father. His strength, dedication, and deep love for his family will remain his lasting legacy.
In the words of the music he loved, “Some of it’s magic, some of it’s tragic, but I had a good life all the way.”
He will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Our History
John Molnar, Sr. opened the Detroit Hungarian Funeral Home, now the Molnar Funeral Homes, in 1923. The funeral home began in his home until relocating across the street to it's Delray location at 8623 Dearborn Avenue, in 1936. He had a strong work ethic and believed that you should never stop learning...
