Obituary of Norman E. Grier
In Loving Memory of Norman E. Grier Jr.
Sunrise: September 25, 1957 – Sunset: March 1, 2026
Norman E. Grier Jr., beloved husband, son, father, Pop-Pop, uncle, brother, and best friend, retired his jersey on March 1, 2026. He was 68 years old.
Born on September 25, 1957, Norman’s life was grounded in faith and love for his family. His favorite scripture, Proverbs 3:5–6, reflected the foundation he stood on:
“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.”
Norman was a dedicated fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and proudly supported his favorite player, Michael Jordan. Music was also meaningful to him, especially He Saw the Best in Me by Marvin Sapp, a song whose message resonated deeply with him.
Those who knew Norman knew him as a loving presence in many roles—husband, father, Pop-Pop, brother, uncle, and friend. The phrase “Fly Norman Fly” captures the spirit with which he will be remembered.
His memory will be cherished by all who loved him.
