Obituary of Rose Marie Cyfka
Rose Marie Cyfka
Rose Marie Cyfka of Southgate, MI passed away on March 10, 2026 in Grand Rapids, MI. Born in Detroit, MI, on November 26, 1932, Rose attended St. Mary's Commercial High School and after graduation, entered the School Sisters of Notre Dame, a teaching religious order.
Rose Marie taught high school business subjects for 20 plus years as an SSND before leaving the Order to help care for her mother. She continued her love for teaching for several more years, then eventually retired from GMAC.
She was a gifted seamstress and also a voracious reader who longed for the day where she could just sit and read her many books. She was also very involved in her church, Christ the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, in Lincoln Park, MI.
Over the years, health concerns and poor eyesight prevented her from living independently, thus she moved to St. Ann's Home in Grand Rapids several years ago where she resided until her death.
Rose Marie was preceded in death by her parents, Felix and Mary, as well as seven siblings. She is survived by many nieces & nephews.

Our History
John Molnar, Sr. opened the Detroit Hungarian Funeral Home, now the Molnar Funeral Homes, in 1923. The funeral home began in his home until relocating across the street to it's Delray location at 8623 Dearborn Avenue, in 1936. He had a strong work ethic and believed that you should never stop learning...
