Obituary of Donna Nadine Bolton
Donna Nadine Bolton. Age 85 of Brownstown.
Donna Nadine Bolton, 85, was born on March 22, 1941, in Detroit, Michigan, to Dewey and Kathleen Overby. She spent part of her childhood in Terre Haute, Indiana, where she lived with her grandmother until the age of 12. She passed from this life on April 7, 2026 surrounded by the love of her family.
Donna was a woman of deep and abiding faith who loved the Word of God. Her relationship with the Lord shaped her life and guided her love for others. She was actively involved in her Bible study group and found great joy in serving through the Shepherd’s Closet ministry at Trenton Church of Christ.
Donna was married to her beloved husband, Glenn, in 1964, and they shared many faithful years together until his passing in 2008.
Donna shared a very close and special bond with her cousins, whom she loved deeply. She also cherished meaningful friendships throughout her life, especially a close-knit group of dear friends affectionately known as the “old hags.” These relationships were a source of laughter, encouragement, and lasting joy.
She is survived by her children: Lisa Lang; Gerald Bolton and his wife Tammy, along with their children Rylee and Ryder; and Brian Bolton and his wife Briana, along with their children Luke, Kaleb (and his wife Graysen), and Lilly-Grace. Donna was also blessed with great-grandchildren—Stevie, Silas, and Sampson—through Kaleb and Graysen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey and Kathleen Overby; her stepfather, Ross Calloway; and her beloved husband, Glenn.
Donna’s life was marked by faith, love, and a deep commitment to serving others. Her legacy lives on through the family she loved so dearly and the many lives she touched through her kindness and devotion.
Visitation will be held from 4:00–7:00 PM on Thursday, April 9, and again on the day of the funeral from 10:00 AM until the time of service. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM on Friday April 10.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Trenton Church of Christ in support of the Shepherd’s Closet ministry. Contributions may be mailed to 2650 Grange Rd, Trenton, MI 48183, or made online at tcoc.org.
She is now home with the Lord.
