Family Tribute ~
Matthew M. Magyar will be remembered as a man of deep loyalty, quiet passions, and enduring love for the people and simple joys that shaped his life.
Matt is survived by his brother, Rich (Laura), and his sister, Vicki (Ron) Kret, along with many loving nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will hold his memory close. He also leaves behind his faithful companion, his dog Jack, who rarely left his side.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor Magyar and Janet Sue Magyar, and by his beloved wife and the love of his life, LeeAnne. Their absence was something Matt carried with him always, and it brings comfort to know they are now reunited.
Matt found happiness in life’s familiar comforts. He loved watching old movies, especially WWII films and the old classics. His television was always tuned to MeTV, he really loved those old tv shows. He was a devoted sports fan, always cheering on the Detroit Red Wings and the Lions, but his all time favorite was Formula I racing. The races that took place at the Spa in Belgium were among his favorites, and he would even wake up in the middle of the night just to catch a race happening overseas.
Music was another cornerstone of Matt’s life. He loved all kinds, but especially Classic Rock, and his collection of albums and CDs was truly unmatched. In his younger years, he worked part-time as a DJ and spent time playing his guitar, finding joy in both sharing and creating music.
Before LeeAnne’s passing, Matt treasured the time they spent together, especially their road trips up north. Those trips were more than just travel—they were moments of connection, peace, and shared happiness that stayed with him always.
We will surely miss Matt, but thank God he is finally at peace and reunited with LeeAnne and so many loved ones who have gone before him.
