Obituary of Aidan Timothy Hennessey
December 7, 2004 – May 11, 2026
Aidan Timothy Hennessey, a cherished son, brother, and friend, passed away on May 11, 2026. Born on December 7, 2004, Aidan was the firstborn child of John Hennessey and Sue Hennessey. From his earliest years, he brought joy to his family through his humor and playful spirit. He shared an inseparable bond with his younger brother, Owen; the two were constant companions, whether they were playing hockey, gaming, or snowboarding.
Known for his wit, kindness and compassion, Aidan possessed an exceptional character that drew people to him, resulting in many deep and lasting friendships. His devotion to family was equally strong. He enjoyed golfing with family and friends, boating locally and at the family’s place in Caseville, and recently, seeing his first concert -- Bruno Mars.
A 2023 graduate of Grosse Ile High School, Aidan was a student at Grand Valley State University, where he was pursuing a degree in accounting. He planned a career in business, a path influenced by the time he spent working alongside his father and his Aunt Joan at the engineering firm founded by his grandfather.
Aidan leaves behind a legacy that will be forever cherished by those who knew and loved him. He is survived by his parents, John Hennessey and Sue Hennessey; brother Owen Hennessey; his maternal grandfather Ronald Kowalski; and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Zero Suicide Fund at the Guidance Center of Downriver.
