Family Tribute ~
Glen Morin was born on May 2nd, 1936 to parents Clyde Morin and Hazel Rushlow in Wyandotte, MI. The last of 5 siblings, Glen often found himself with plenty of freedom and began owning and fixing a Ford Model T. as a young teenager.
He graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1954 working a number of different jobs including delivering ice blocks and soon after began flying airplanes which became a life long passion. In 1960 he was drafted into the army where he spent 2 years in Monterey, California as a general. (General Supply Clerk). His joke, told about 1000 times!
After his return, he studied to become an electronic technician, earning his certification from EIT and working for Detroit Edison a majority of his career.
On November 23rd, 1963 Glen married his bride, Patty and settled down in a small house in Trenton where they began their family. In 1972, Glen and Patty moved to Riverview with their children Bode, Carrie and Matthew with new baby Christopher on the way. This is the address Glen called home for 51 years.
During these 51 years, love and laughter filled the home as the family grew larger and friends multiplied.
Glen cherished his family, but also found peace in his time spent alone working on hobbies such as fixing cars, riding his Indian Motorcycle, flying his plane, woodworking and fidgeting with gadgets. Glen often spent time in his workshop, creating new inventions that were often ahead of his time- though sometimes also quite dangerous! He enjoyed reading by the water, going on drives and listening to classical music among other things.
Glen will be remembered for his calm nature, quick sense of humor and incredible talent.
Glen is survived by his children Bode (Deb) Morin , Carrie (Larry) Foggia, Matthew (Jen) Morin and Christopher Morin. Grandchildren Marie (Riley) Foggia, Nicholas Foggia, Alaina (Alex) Morin, Mitchell (Chloe) Morin, Taylor Alison and Jack Morin. Great Grandchildren Stori Leonardi, Hazel Foggia, Luca Foggia, Oliver Theiss, and Vito Leonardi.

Our History
John Molnar, Sr. opened the Detroit Hungarian Funeral Home, now the Molnar Funeral Homes, in 1923. The funeral home began in his home until relocating across the street to it's Delray location at 8623 Dearborn Avenue, in 1936.
