Scott Thomas Johnson. Age 79 of Trenton.
Scott Thomas Johnson, age 79, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2026. A proud U.S. Navy Veteran, Scott served honorably from 1965–1967 with Patrol Squadron Seven as a P2V Neptune crew member. Born in Wyandotte, Michigan, to Betsey J. (Schendel) Johnson and Ralph W. Johnson, Scott was the oldest of eight children. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Christopher P. Johnson (KIA), Timothy R. Johnson and Eric W. Johnson.
Scott is survived by his siblings Barbara (Suse), Larry (Molly), Matthew (Yang) and Cari (Dave) Johnson; his children Christopher (Jodi), Alan (Jennifer) and April (Ronnie); 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and his beloved pitbull, “Sweetie Girl.”
Scott was known for his kind heart, willingness to help others, deep love for animals, and passion for music. A talented jazz musician, he played saxophone, flute, clarinet, and later taught himself piano, bringing joy to family and friends through music. He will also be remembered for his humor, generous spirit, and the special nicknames he gave to those he loved. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

John Molnar, Sr. opened the Detroit Hungarian Funeral Home, now the Molnar Funeral Homes, in 1923. The funeral home began in his home until relocating across the street to it's Delray location at 8623 Dearborn Avenue, in 1936.
