Beloved husband of Vicki Moritz. Loving father of Lisa (Dustin) Epema and Allison Moritz. Dearest grandfather of Kaley (Zach) Newcomer, Brennen Kildea and Isabelle Epema.  Dear great grandfather of Maverick and Mylo Newcomer.  Brother of Mary (Jim) Merlo, Jim Moritz and the late David Moritz.

Bob Moritz was a man of remarkable dedication, skill, and passion, leaving behind a legacy that his family will forever cherish. His journey was defined by a strong work ethic and an active commitment to his community. Robert was deeply involved in organizations that reflected his values, his leadership, and his love for adventure. He was a proud and highly respected member of the Masons, a journey that began around 1990. His dedication was so deeply valued that he served with distinction as a Worshipful Master an impressive four times.

Following his school years, he transitioned into a successful career at Great Lakes Steel, working many years as a crane operator and later as a truck driver. Known by many as a true "Jack of all trades," Robert was a master of maintenance who could fix just about anything. Whether it was working on cars, handling complex plumbing, or sorting out electrical work, he approached every challenge with a problem-solving spirit and a helping hand. When he wasn't dedicating his time to the lodge, Robert embraced the freedom of the open road and the great outdoors. He loved attending motorcycle rallies and found great joy in going camping, always embracing the camaraderie and peace of nature. More than anything, Robert will be remembered for his versatile skills, his leadership, and the vibrant personality that touched the lives of everyone who knew him. He leaves behind a blueprint of hard work and a life well-lived.
