Age 85, of Riverview
Charles “Chuck” Eugene Shivel, age 85, of Riverview, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2026.
He was the beloved husband of the late Jean Robertson Shivel. Loving father of Charles (Tammy) Shivel, Teri Prodan, Kelly Macintosh, Jodi (Don) Portice, and Kacey (Eric) Atkinson. He is also survived by many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Chuck proudly served his country in the United States Army with the Airborne Division and remained a proud American throughout his life.
A lifelong entrepreneur, Chuck built a legacy through his work in the automotive industry, including Budget Tire, transmission and auto repair shops, oil change and emissions services. He was also a longtime landlord and a creative real estate agent and broker, always striving to help others achieve the dream of homeownership. Chuck had a passion for finding opportunities and truly lived a full and vibrant life.
In his honor, a Celebration of Life will be held on August 7, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a memorial prayer and military honors at 6:30 p.m. at The Jefferson Event Center, 5474 W. Jefferson Ave., Trenton, MI.
