John S. Molnar

John has been operating the John Molnar Funeral Homes as President since 1969. John's leadership qualities have served him well as 1969 Class President of Wayne State University School of Mortuary Science, former President of the Delwood Kiwanis Club, past officer and member of the Southgate Knights of Columbus, and Past President of The Hungarian Heritage Club. Civically, John has served as Chairman of the Southgate Public Safety Commission, and he is also an active member of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Southgate. John acknowledges his success in business would not have been possible without the steadfast commitment of his wife, Helen. They have one daughter, Angela, who has proudly continued the Molnar tradition of being a licensed funeral director. In their free time, John and Helen enjoy spending time with their family.
Angela M. Molnar-Ferguson

Angela graduated from Wayne State University in the fall of 1993 as the Vice President of her Mortuary Science Class. After graduation, she began to assist her father in operating the John Molnar Funeral Homes. All aspects of the funeral home are what encompass her life now as she oversees the daily operations of all the facilities. Community service is also an important part of her life. She is an active member of Our Lady of the Woods Catholic Church, and has been a past board member of the Brownstown Downtown Development Authority, and was the past secretary, past president, and charter member of the Kiwanis Club of Brownstown. Angela and her husband Larry have four daughters: Madelyn, Megan, Melanie, and Maranda. For Angela, being a mother to four young daughters is one of the most rewarding jobs she could ever have and she devotes all of her free time to spending it with her family.
Larry A. Ferguson
Larry joined the funeral home after graduating from high school. He soon enrolled in to the Mortuary Science Program at Wayne State University. After receiving his degree in the fall of 1997, he became involved in the daily operations of the John Molnar Funeral Home. Larry is member of the Brownstown Downtown Development Authority, Knights of Columbus – Trenton Chapter, the Downriver and Detroit Business Association, and a past member of the Woodhaven - Brownstown Kiwanis Club. He is an active member and usher at Our Lady of the Woods Catholic Church. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife Angela and four young daughters.

Linda is the past president and former owner of R.J. Nixon and H.F. Thon funeral homes. In 1978, she began working with her father, Donald R. Burd, assisting with the daily operations, managing the facilities and bringing progressive ideas to the funeral industry. Linda graduated in 1981 from Wayne State University with a degree in Mortuary Science. She also has a bachelor degree in Occupational Therapy from Eastern Michigan University. Linda is a member of The Wyandotte Rotary Club and spends her time with family, friends and is involved with many of her church’s functions.
Christine Burd Spedding

Christine is the former owner of the R.J. Nixon and H.F. Thon Funeral Homes. She began working for the business in 1977, attending to the many needs of the operation. Christine's main priority was always focusing on providing the best service for the families they served, showing them compassion, kindness and support during a difficult time in their lives. She is a life long resident of Wyandotte, a parishioner of St. Vincent Palloti Parish and member of the Wyandotte Rotary Club. Christine enjoys being with family and friends in her spare time.
Peter L. Heggie
Pete Joined the firm in January of 1990 and now serves as the General Manger. He was born and raised in Southgate and just recently became a resident of Riverview. Upon graduation from Southgate High School in 1977, Pete went on to Wayne State University where he graduated with a degree in Mortuary Science in 1981. Pete then married his wife Cindy Smatana, and had two daughters Amanda and Katie. He is now the proud grandfather of two grandsons as well. Pete is a member of St. Pius X Catholic church where he has served as a Lector, Eucharistic minister and a member of the Administration Commission. Civically, he has served the City of Southgate as a Commissioner of the Parks and Recreation Commission, The Planning Commission, and is currently a member of the TIFA Board. Pete is also a member of the Southgate Kiwanis club and has served as its secretary for over 20 years.
Christopher T. Stieler
Christopher and his wife Melanie live in Southgate. Born and raised in Wyandotte, he is the son of Thomas and Pansy (Thon) Stieler. Chris is the great great grandson of John F. W. Thon, founder of the Thon Funeral Home in 1857. He is a 1973 graduate of Wyandotte Roosevelt High School. He has 2 children, Melissa and Kevin, and 6 grandchildren. Chris joined the Nixon and Thon Funeral Homes in December of 1972, at the age of 18. He went on to attend Wayne State University and graduated from the Department of Mortuary Science in 1980. Chris serves on the District 1 Board of the Michigan Funeral Directors Association for the past 20 years. He is also a member of the Trenton / Wyandotte Masonic Lodge and Christ the King Lutheran Church in Southgate.
Michael J. Raudio
Mike and his wife Kristine live in Brownstown with their daughter, Lori. Mike graduated from Wayne State University in 1984 with his degree in Mortuary Science. As a funeral director, he joined the firm in 1998. Mike is a past president of the Kiwanis Club of Wayne, a current member of the Woodhaven Kiwanis Club, a past board member of the Brownstown Downtown Development Authority, and past President of the Michigan Funeral Directors Association, District 2. He is an active member of St. John Lutheran Church of Waltz.
Adrienne M. Marcath
Adrienne joined the Nixon Chapel in 1999. She graduated from Southgate Anderson High School in 1996. Adrienne is a graduate of the Mortuary Science Program at Wayne State University. She is also the Treasurer of the Wyandotte 1000 Kiwanis Club. Her hobbies are gardening and outdoor adventures in her leisure time. She lives in Dearborn with her husband Jason.
Jennifer L. Pennell
Originally from Petoskey, Michigan, Jennifer and her husband David now live in Brownstown. Jennifer graduated from Wayne State University in 2014 as President of her Mortuary Science class. She also holds a bachelor's degree in Social Work from Eastern Michigan University. Jennifer enjoys being able to bring empathetic service to grieving families. In her free time, Jennifer volunteers with Sandcastles Grief Support for Children, a local group that serves bereaved children and their families. Her other interests include reading, playing various musical instruments, attending local events, watching TV, having game nights with friends, and spending time with her husband.
Deborah L. Schoen
Debbie recently moved back to her hometown of Metro Detroit from Denver, Colorado. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcasting from Oral Roberts University, but her passion to serve people drew her to continue her education in Mortuary Science, graduating from the Arapahoe Community College program in 2005. Her commitment to excel as a funeral director kept her actively involved in continuing education opportunities including membership in the Denver Metro Funeral Directors Association where she served as their president from 2014 to 2015. She is also a Certified Mortuary Science Practitioner with the State of Colorado. Upon her return, Debbie was able to obtain her Michigan Funeral Director’s license. She enjoys traveling, relaxing on the beach, SCUBA diving, skiing in the Rockies, snow shoeing, puzzles, movies, and playing board games with family and friends.
Mary grew up in Royal Oak, Michigan. She went to Oakland Community College where she earned her Associate Degree in Liberal Arts in 2013. Mary than went on to earn her Bachelor's of Mortuary Science from Wayne State University in 2015. She joined the Molnar team that same year as an apprentice and now is a licensed funeral director. Mary resides in Wyandotte, where she enjoys walking downtown, discovering new music, and spending time with friends, family and her two cats.
Originally from Traverse City, Michigan, Troy has worked in the funeral industry since 2005. Troy first began his career by working funeral visitations and then eventually working his way into becoming a funeral apprentice. Troy attended Wayne State University in 2009, where he received his Bachelors Degree in Mortuary Science. While attending school, one of Troy’s professors asked him to become an Embalming Team Leader, where he assisted class groups in the embalming lab. Troy serves as a Licensed Funeral Director and the Director of Embalming for the Molnar Funeral Homes. Troy lives in Taylor, Michigan with his wife Renee and his son Griffin. Troy enjoys playing music, watching movies, traveling, and spending time outdoors with his family. Troy is also a member of the Garden City Masonic Lodge.
Kevin Snyder attended the University of Toledo Community and Technical College, majoring in Marketing and Law Enforcement Technology. He has been married to his wife, Sharon for over 31 years and together they have two children, Jessica and Eric, and one grandson, Hudson. Kevin and Sharon are parishioners at St. Joseph’s of Sylvania. During his free time, Kevin enjoys spending time at the beach, vacationing, coaching fast pitch softball and playing golf.
Dane lives in Saint Clair with his family. He started working in funeral service as a Director's Assistant at a local funeral home near his hometown and eventually went on to earn his degree in Mortuary Science from Wayne State University in 2015. Working as a pre-need specialist, he has a passion for educating families about the importance of advance planning. In his free time, Dane enjoys boating and activities on the water.
Renee M. Palermo-Fenech
Renee and her husband Chris live in Brownstown with their two young daughters, Elena and Grace. Renee graduated in 1997 from Monroe County Community College with an Associates Degree in Electric Office Systems. She joined the John Molnar Funeral Home in May 1997. Renee is a member of Our Lady of the Woods Catholic Church. When not working, Renee enjoys time with her family and pursuing her interests of dancing, gardening, reading, cooking, and spending time outdoors.
Jennifer St. Charles
Jennifer grew up in Gibraltar and graduated from Carlson High School. Having a passion for art, she went to Spring Arbor University and earned a Bachelors Degree in Art, with a concentration in Graphic Design. During her free time, she loves to take pictures, travel, and spend time with family and friends.
Rachel has been married for 20 years to Kirk and has one daughter, Marie. They live in Grosse Ile with their two labs and two cats. Rachel graduated from high school in Wyandotte, Michigan, and went on to receive her B.S. in Speech Communication from Mansfield University in Pennsylvania. Rachel is also serving as President of the State Board for the Michigan State Chapter of the P.E.O. Sisterhood. For relaxation, Rachel reads books and plays Sudoku.
Nicole grew up in Taylor her entire life and graduated from Truman High School. She recently became engaged to her fiancé Charlie and is very excited to begin planning her wedding and future with him. Nicole has two beautiful dogs, Dakota and Jade. She enjoys spending her free time with her family and friends.
