Richard E. Glenn. Age 84 of Allen Park.
Beloved husband of Laura Glenn. Loving father of Karen (Mike) VanCleave, Steven (Michelle) Glenn, Lisa (James) Cecil and the late Sheryl Babb. Dearest grandfather of Jonathan, Christopher, Jordan, Travis, Chelsea, Kristie, Steven Jr, Ashley, Blake, Taylor and Danielle. Great grandfather of Audra, Cecilia and Charlotte. Also survived by niece Pam. Preceded in death by sister Lois Ripple.
Memorial contributions appreciated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Family Tribute
Richard E. Glenn graduated from Columbiana High School in 1956. He obtained his certification through RETS Electronic School, Detroit MI. Richard retired as a draftsman from Unisys Corporation, formerly Burroughs Corporation.
Richard has been married to the love of his life, Laura Glenn (Johnson), for 64 years. Together they had Sheryl, Karen, Steven and Lisa.
Richard was the longest serving deacon with First Baptist Church in Trenton. Serving for over 49 years.
Richard enjoyed traveling, gardening, eating Laura’s wonderful cooking and collecting model trains, his prize possession was his Lionel Model Train. Richard was extremely knowledgeable, constantly reading, making him one of the top unofficial contestants of Jeopardy!
Richard was a loving dad and will be remembered for the love of his family, his church and God.
