Do you humanely euthanize?

No, we do not perform this service. Only a licensed Veterinarian is able to conduct a humane euthanasia.

What do I do if my pet passes at home?

We are available to contact by phone 24/7. Whenever you are ready, just give us a call at 734-284-1600 and we will work to bring your pet into our care as quickly as possible. While you wait, you may wrap your pet snugly in a blanket.

Should I choose cremation over burial?

While the choice is completely yours and yours alone, there are many benefits to pet cremation. It more affordable than you may think and gives you the option to keep your pet's cremated remains with you or scatter them in a meaningful place.

Can I drop my pet off to you?

Yes, you may bring your pet into our care. Our office hours are Monday-Saturday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. However, we realize that loss comes at all hours on any given day. Emergency after hours and holiday service is available to you to allow us to respond immediately to you whenever you may need us.

Can my pet be cremated with favorite toys or blankets?

Due to environmental concerns, it is not recommended a pet be cremated in a casket or blanket or have other items that could emit toxins during the cremation processes.

Do you offer services for exotic pets?

Yes, whether your companion be furry, scaled or feathered, we accept all pets up to 400lbs for cremation services.

Will I get my pet's cremated remains back?

If you select private cremation, yes you will get your pet's cremated remains returned to you. If communal cremation is chosen, since pets are not identified, it is not possible to get back their cremains. When you select communal cremation, your pets cremains will be buried along with other pets' at Whispering Pines Pet Cemetery located in Ypsilanti, Michigan.

How can I be sure I'm receiving my own pet back?

If you choose private cremation your pet will be tagged with an identification marker which remains with them throughout the cremation process. Through this tag and family signatures, your pet is able to be tracked throughout the entire process. This allows us to be 100% certain that each pet goes back to their owner.

What if my Veterinarian does not use your service?

Not a problem at all. As the owner, you are the sole decision maker when it comes to the care of your pet. We are happy to work with any Veterinarian. When the time comes, simply request that they call our office and we will gladly work with them in providing our services and bringing your pet into our care.

What types of cremation do you offer?

We offer either private or communal cremation options. If you'd like to receive your pet's cremains back, we recommend choosing private cremation. However, if you choose to not receive them back, then communal is the best option for you.
