He was in the U.S. Army as a 1st Lieutenant in Vietnam from 1968-1969 as a Petroleum Officer. Ed then worked as a Bank Officer at Manufacturers Bank/Comerica Bank for 22 years. After he retired he worked as a security guard for Henry Ford Village, Museum, and Ford Factory Tours for 14 years.

Ed was a lifetime member of the St. Stanislaus Kostka Church until they were closed, where he was an usher and member of the St. Stans Club 30. He loved dealing Blackjack at St. Stans festivals and Club 30 events.

Ed loved sports, especially when watching his 3 children play football, basketball, volleyball, soccer and softball in grade school, high school, and college then onto watching his grandchildren participate in sports.

Ed was a people person and could strike up a conversation with anyone. He enjoyed working at the Henry Ford to mingle with people.

After his ALS diagnosis, when it got to the point where it was difficult to move around, Ed spent hours playing games on his phone or computer games like Solitaire and Candy Crush. For any Candy Crush experts he was on Level 2331.
