June L. Barnoff. Age 90 formerly of Trenton.

Family Tribute

June Barnoff (Lettie) spent her childhood in Green Valley Pennsylvania in a family of 6 brothers and 1 sister. She attended Green Valley grade school for 8 years and then graduated from Brookville High School in 1946 at the age of 16. She then worked at Yount’s Restaurant in Reynoldsville. She was married to Donald Barnoff in 1950 in Punxsutawney. They resided in Punxsutawney where they had a family of 3 daughters.

June was devoted to her family and took care of her daughters and household through a critical childhood illness of one of her daughters and numerous city relocations due to her husband’s profession. In addition to caring for her family, June found time to serve in several capacities at her church such as Sunday School teacher, Youth Counselor, and several board positions.

As her children grew into adulthood, June was able to work at several jobs outside of the home and participate in some leisure pursuits such as crocheting, golf, bowling, and antique car club outings.

June and Don retired in the mid – 90’s and spent their time between their home in Trenton, Michigan, and their winter home in Lake Wales, Florida. The family remained very important to her - they never left Michigan until after the Christmas holidays and were always involved in their children’s and grandchildren’s lives.

June was a source of support for her daughters throughout her life. She was always interested and supportive of her grandchildren and great-grandchild. She will be greatly missed by all.
