Obituary of Ethel A. McCarty
July 16, 1925 – November 4, 2020
Ethel Allene McCarty. Age 95 of Brownstown.
Loving mother of the Lois (Douglas) Higgins. Also survived by 5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Preceded in death husband Ernest McCarty, son Duane, daughter in law Carol McCarty and 9 brothers and sisters.
Family Tribute
Ethel graduated high school at the age of 16 with a brother and future sister in law. She worked as a cashier for Farmer Jack’s and later for White’s Bakery in Owosso. During World War II she worked as a metal lathe operator. Ethel loved to travel, enjoyed making baby quilts, and her Monday Bible study at First Presbyterian Church in Trenton along with Sunday church service. She loved to also be able to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
