Obituary of George A. Gillies
March 24, 1962 – November 6, 2020
George A. Gillies Jr. Age 58 of Flat Rock.
Loving father of Lavonne (Ricky) Williams and Archie (Haley) Gillies. Dear brother of Johan (the late Gregory Hines) Gillies and Donald (Kathy) Gillies. Also survived by niece Katie Gillies, step-mother Marti Garrett, former wife and friend Kathy Caple and grand-dogs Hagen, Goose and Trout. Preceded in death by parents George and Annie Gillies and niece Shelby Gillies.
Cremation will take place at The On-Site Crematory located within the Molnar Funeral Homes - Brownstown Chapel.
George was an integral part of a local charity group, ‘Friends for Charity’, which feeds hundreds of families for Thanksgiving every year. The family is requesting in lieu of flowers, donations be made in his name.

John Molnar, Sr. opened the Detroit Hungarian Funeral Home, now the Molnar Funeral Homes, in 1923. The funeral home began in his home until relocating across the street to it's Delray location at 8623 Dearborn Avenue, in 1936. He had a strong work ethic and believed that you should never stop learning...
