Obituary of Dennis J. Kortas
Dennis Joseph Kortas
July 9, 1950 - December 3, 2020
Dennis was born in Wyandotte, Michigan to Frank and Pearl (Zalenski) Kortas on July 9, 1950.
He graduated from Roosevelt High School in Wyandotte. He worked at Chrysler Trenton Engine for 33 years, retiring in 2002.
Dennis was a very kind and loving husband to Theresa (Revard). They met in Las Vegas. They were married on October 14, 1988 at St. Mary Church in Rockwood. They enjoyed 32 years of marriage. They took a vacation to Las Vegas for every anniversary, except this year due to Covid.
Dennis loved gambling, especially poker. He was fortunate to have traveled to Las Vegas for 49 straight years. He was looking forward to hitting 50 years, but was disappointed that Covid didn’t allow it. His first trip was in the early 70’s with his cousin, Joe Romanowski.
Dennis is survived by his loving wife Theresa, sister-in-law Joannie Kortas, brother-in-law Allan Parker, special nieces Fran Buchko, Tina Osborne, Jackie Stout, Kim Kortas, and Susan Castillo. In-laws Linda and Bob Gossett, Diane and Jeff Wetzel, and David Revard. Also, many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Joanne Kortas, Frank Kortas, Stanley Kortas, and Pamela Parker, nephew Bob Kortas, in-laws Russ & Marian Revard.
Dennis will be deeply missed. We will miss playing cards and having a beer with him.
Cremation will take place at The On-Site Crematory located within the Molnar Funeral Homes - Brownstown Chapel.
