FAMILY TRIBUTE
Regina E. Malina passed away on August 26, 2017 at the age of 87. She was born in Pennsylvania on November 19, 1929, the youngest of 13 children. She had fond memories of her childhood, despite losing both of her parents by the time she was 10.
She married Joseph A. Malina on June 14, 1952. He predeceased her in 1996.
Regina relished her role as a homemaker and raising her children, and also spent 29 years in various positions with the Taylor Schools, including many years working in the elementary school libraries. She also worked as an election clerk until just last year, and was engaged and well informed about local political contests and issues.
Unit the recent onset of macular degeneration, Regina enjoyed reading the daily newspaper and completing the New York Times crossword puzzle each day.
She was a longtime member of the Taylor Senior Center and served as the volunteer coordinator for “Restaurant Round-Up” for many years. She participated in the center’s parties, picnics and day trips and thoroughly enjoyed socializing with her fellow seniors.
Regina’s family and friends will miss her spunky, outgoing personality and her “heart of gold” when it came to her family and friends.
