FAMILY TRIBUTE
LeRoy Wolff passed away on September 21, 2017 after a struggle with illness. He was 80 years old.
LeRoy was the tenth, and last, child born to Rudolph and Anna Wolff on May 11, 1937 in Altamont, Illinois. He married Eileen Kovach in 1959 and they had two children, Paul and Sara. LeRoy and Eileen recently celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary.
LeRoy was raised as a dairy farmer, and though he left the farm as a young man, he cultivated a love of gardening, and has had a garden at home every year for his entire adult life. After his retirement he took Master Gardener classes, and led seminars to share his expertise with any who enjoyed making things grow.
LeRoy grew up in the church, and was a lifelong Lutheran Christian. LeRoy was baptized and confirmed at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Altamont, Illinois, and has been a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Southgate for over 48 years. LeRoy served the church in many ways throughout the years, helping wherever he could.
