Obituary of Carol L. Salisbury

December 25, 1951 - October 4, 2017

Carol L. Salisbury, age 65, passed away October 4, 2017.  Carol was born on December 25, 1951 in Wyandotte, MI to Joe Jack and Anna B. Salisbury whom both preceded her in death.  She was raised and spent her whole life in the city of Ecorse.  Carol was a graduate of Ecorse High School and later attended HFCC.  Carol believed that education was the key role in the success of a child. Carol served 18 years on the Board of Education for Ecorse Public Schools.  She worked at Wayne State University for over 20 years.  She loved being a career woman, but none of her accomplishments could compare to the love and pride she had in being a grandma.  Carol was a giver and had a smile that could not be replaced.  She was preceded in death by her older brother Wm. Michial Stratton. She is survived by her daughter Pamela (James) Brasgalla of Ecorse; brother Brian (Kathy) Salisbury of Harrodsburg, KY, sister Suzanne Schwartz of Taylor, MI; grandchildren Lauren Anna, Hayden, and Brooklyn.  She is also survived by her niece and nephews and a host of family and friends.

Carol Lynn Salisbury was born on Christmas day in 1951.  She graduated from Ecorse High School and later attended HFCC.  Carol worked at Wayne State University for over 20 years.  She was a Business Coordinator in the College of Education Division of Kinesiology, Health and Sports Studies.  Carol loved her job and the people she worked with.  She also served on the Board of Education for the Ecorse Public Schools for 18 years.  She loved watching a good movie or tv show, but comedies were her favorite.  She also loved to read and do puzzles of any kind.  Carol was such a giving person and had a heart of gold.  She LOVED being a grandma and spending time her grandkids.  Carol had a smile and laugh that will never be forgotten.
