Obituary of Geraldine Strucel

Geraldine “Geri” Strucel. Age 63 of New Boston.

 

Geraldine “Geri” Strucel, age 63, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at her home in New Boston.  She was born on September 6, 1957 in Wyandotte to Jerome and Rosa (Mazzola) Monaco.  Geri was a 1975 graduate of Truman High School.  She married Douglas A. Strucel on May 19, 1979.  She was a loving mother to Stephanie Strucel, Rachel (Rick) Moore and Sabrina Strucel.  Her true joy and passion was being a Nonni to her two grandchildren; Reagan and Ryan Moore.  She also leaves behind her cherished sisters and brothers; Rosalie (Ken) Hobdy, Margaret (George) Surdu, Frank (Arlene) Monaco and Tony (Connie) Monaco.  Geri devoted her life to Jesus as an influential leader with the Bible Study Fellowship.  So many were drawn to her beautiful soul embodying compassion, courageousness and encouragement.  Throughout her life she made many long-lasting friendships.  Geri will be missed, but NEVER forgotten.  Her memory lives on in our hearts.

 

Preceded in death by her husband Douglas A. Strucel.

 

Cremation will take place at The On-Site Crematory located within the Molnar Funeral Homes - Brownstown Chapel.

 

Memorial contributions are appreciated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital

 

In accordance with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services Orders - The Molnar Funeral Homes is following and observing the 25 person cap on funeral attendance at one time.
