Obituary of Norman C. Sadler

August 31, 1936 – October 9, 2017

Norman C. Sadler. Age 81 of Trenton.

Beloved husband of Judy Sadler, co-owner of Biddle Bowl. Loving father of Linda (Robert) Hogge, Sharon (Tom) Heineman, Susan (Jason) Peazel and step father of Leanne Gasorski and Joseph Gasorski. Dearest grandfather of Eddie, Michael, Briana, Carlie, Andrew, Abby, Kyle, and Kameron. Great grandfather of Robbie. Dear brother of Pat (Judy) Sadler and Richard (Mary) Sadler. Brother in law of Judy, wife of the late brother David Sadler. Preceded in death by grandson Rob.

Memorials appreciated to the  Wyandotte Goodfellows, the Salvation Army and the First Congregational Church of Wyandotte.

FAMILY TRIBUTE

On August 31, 1936 in Kansas, Marjorie and Clearance Sadler had their first child Norman.  A few years later, they moved to Riverview, MI. where he was raised there with his three brothers Pat, David and Richard. Norm went to A.E. Smith now known as Riverview High and shortly there after enlisted in the Air Force where he served in the Korean War. 

In 1961 while working at Firestone, Norm married Carolyn Baker and they started their life together in Lincoln Park. A few years later, they moved to Riverview where they raised their three daughters Linda, Sharon, and Susan. Norman and Carolyn went their separate ways after 25 years of marriage and Norm moved to Marsha St. in Riverview as a bachelor. 

At this time Norm worked at McCords Steel and often went to "lunch" at Biddle Bowl where he fell in love with the bartender Judy Woelkers and made many lifelong friends.  In 1993 they were married and Norm was blessed with two step-children Leanne and Joe. McCords Steel closed and Norm moved on to Oakwood Metal where he retired.

Enjoying retirement Norm and Judy purchased a time share in Traverse City which they enjoyed for the remainder of his life along with going to wineries, casinos, and spending time with his family and friends.

Everyone that ever met Norm found him to be kind and very humorous.  He was a loved family man and friend to all.  He adored his 9 grandchildren and great grand child and lived each day to the fullest with his wife by his side . . . 

Norms lifelong quote was " I am fond of the many finer things in life . . . in which I am the finest".  That you were Norm Sadler...a class act for 81 years.  You will truly be missed and thought of fondly and often.
