Xavier Perez was born in Mexico on May 22, 1952. He was the 4th child born to Elvira & Abel Perez. He was only 90 days old when he moved to the United States and resided in Detroit Michigan with his family, where he later became a U.S Citizen.
Xavier was a basketball player at St.Anne’s #20, he received the nickname Sam throughout his school years. While growing up Sam had many side jobs to make money to help assist his family. He was always a family man. He worked as a walking (advertising ) man, shoe shiner, handyman, and restaurant server. Sam was always a Businessman and Storyteller. Once he graduated high school he became a server at the London Chop House where he continued to work for many years. Being in the restaurant business helped him to pursue his passion for cooking which led him to purchase his own Bar and Grill "Xavier’s Dance Stand Lounge". Sam was always a giver he sponsored many local softball and baseball teams. He also Loved to bring his Father up to the bar on the weekends to sell the famous “Perez Menudo”. Sam had love not only for his family but also for cars and animals.
He owned 2 classic foreign cars and has had a pet monkey, huge aquariums filled with exotic fish, and many dogs. Sam always loved to travel especially with family. Sam decided to change his career path once he became a Father to Jessica Perez and a few years later to Isabella Perez. Sam being the Man of many traits started his new career as a carpenter, he flipped and rented out homes which he loved to do. To Sam Family was very important. He loved having his family and friends over to entertain and show off his cooking skills. Sam loved to garden and was especially proud of his plum tree in his backyard. Sam was and will always be an Incredibly Proud Father of his Amazing Girls. Sam is survived by his many siblings and two Beautiful Daughters Jessica & Isabella Perez and soon to be Son-in-law Aaron Rush.
