Obituary of Terry L. Jergens
October 28, 1952 - May 31, 2021
Terry L. Jergens. Age 68 of Plymouth.
Beloved sister of Diane (the late Larry) Janes, Sandy Jergens and Gary (Sherrie) Jergens. Loving Aunt of Lisa Grzybowski, Michele (Dave) Dempsey, Jessica (David) Marcou, and Jeff (Jenn) Janes. Also survived by her great-nieces and great-nephews; Lilley Redman, Elijah Bouldin, Caleb Janes, Eliza Marcou, and Emilee Marcou. Preceded in death by her parents Ben and Honore Jergens.
Terry was born in 1952 and due to no education offered, she was sent to the Lapeer State Home where she lived from the age of 5-26. In 1980, she moved to Plymouth House where she resided for 40 years.
She attended Step workshop, and worked at the Detroit Parade Warehouse and Fox Run doing recycling.
Terry was an always-loving Angel on Earth. She was a greeter at her church, Friends of Unity, and was a part of the Just Fun Club as well as many bowling leagues through the A.R.C. She loved swimming and hot tubbing at the Livonia Rec Center and went on many vacations and cruises. She loved getting manicures and pedicures and always asked for red nail polish. She loved dancing and really enjoyed the Bee Gees. She always enjoyed the fall and Halloween and knew her birthday was close. Terry loved slurpee runs, fish, and Chinese food.
She loved her family wholeheartedly and had a heart connecting with Eliza Marcou, Diane, and Larry. Terry was Diane's personal valet; always keeping track of Diane's personal possessions.
Terry was probably the most verbal "non-verbal" person you ever met!
Once Terry received a fortune that said, "your silence is profound."
There will be a celebration of life at Stefan's Banquets in Redford on, Thursday, July 22 with more information to come.
