Obituary of Racheal Ann Callahan

February 5, 1970 – July 12, 2021

Racheal Ann Callahan. Age 51 of Wyandotte.

Beloved wife of Michael Callahan.  Loving mother of Danielle Callahan and Carmen Callahan.  Dearest daughter of Peggy Ernst and Joseph Alfano.  Dear sister of Tony Alfano, Teresa (Ben) Luevanos and Joe (Beth Hardin) Alfano.

Racheal Ann Callahan touched many hearts throughout her lifetime. Miss Racheal, as her students affectionately called her, worked with special needs children and everyone would agree she was extremely patient, outgoing, and fun-loving. She worked in the Wyandotte school district for 20 years as a teacher’s assistant and was loved by many.  Racheal loved living and working in Wyandotte. She also enjoyed going to karaoke and dancing with family and friends. Additionally, Racheal volunteered for the Fraternal Order of the Eagles helping set up parties and games for kids.

Racheal was raised in Southgate, Michigan, and went to Southgate Anderson high school. Before that, she attended middle school where she played softball and became an MVP. While in middle school she faced challenges with bullies but was able to overcome them with the help of Sienna Zinner who became a lifelong friend. She also attended Dorsey College while studying in their school of business.

Racheal’s family loved her deeply. She had nieces and nephews that loved her, and she loved them just as much. She loved her daughters so much that every time she saw them it would give her the biggest smile on her face and in her heart. She had the biggest heart and a strong faith in God, and she will be remembered fondly.
