My heartfelt condolences go out to Christine and Tom’s entire Family. It’s a sad, sad day here on Earth but in my heart I know there is a Huge Celebration taking place in Heaven as they welcome Tom home!
I have a story I would like to share with you… I live in Southern California, moving from Wyandotte in 1973. I used to listen to Mark and Brian (radio D.J.s) on most mornings. It was a Rock n’ Roll station. They would often have musical guests come in to hang with them and chat between the music. One day Billy Bob Thornton was the guest. Aside from being an actor, an Academy Award Winner and notoriously once married to Angelina Jolie, Billy Bob also had a band and he was the lead singer. During the conversations, he mentioned how much he liked Frigid Pink, especially their version of The House of the Rising Son. He went on and on about how much he liked that song. Apparently, Billy Bob was no longer in possession of his album and offered to buy the album from any viewer that wouldn’t mind parting with their Frigid Pink album in better than good condition. A few callers called in and offered up their album and Billy Bob Thornton was very happy! I believe they settled on $200.00. Years later, actually, only a few years ago Tom and I were chatting on Facebook messenger when I told him the story. He was pretty happy about it… mostly surprised by it. He said, “Maybe I’ll get to meet him some day.” Well, if Billy Bob makes it to Heaven, that might happen. Tom will always be missed, but never forgotten. Sending love and hugs your way… because emojis are not supported here.
R.I.P. Tom and tell my brother, Ed Reeve, hello. I miss him dearly.
