Family Tribute
Joyce was a graduate of Lincoln Park High School in 1965 and furthered her studies at Central Michigan University and Michigan State University. She was a 4th-grade teacher at St. Joe's Elementary School in Trenton, Michigan for twenty years. She also enjoyed her part-time job at the Mashall Field's/Macy's Candy Counter. She was loved by her friends and family, and especially cherished memories made with her large group of cousins. Joyce was a world traveler and even did a Semester at Sea in college. She shared her passion for travel with everyone she met. She was an advocate for helping others and dedicated her time volunteering for youth organizations, the Fisher theater, the Detroit Grand Prix, Preservation Detroit, and more. Her biggest love, however, was her children and 5 grandsons. She had a certain glow when she was around them and taught them many valuable lessons. Everyone that met Joyce will remember her radiant smile, caring personality, and witty sense of humor.
Cremation will take place at The On-Site Crematory located within the Molnar Funeral Homes - Brownstown Chapel.
