Joyce King. Age 68 of Carleton.
Beloved wife of Michael King. Loving mother of the late Michael King Jr. Dearest grandmother "Nana" of Jessica King. Preceeded in death by parents J.D. Ellison and Shelby Jean Ellison.
Joyce King was born December 13 1953 in Newport, Tennessee to J.D. and Shelby Jean Ellison. She and her husband Michael have been married over 50 years, getting married when they were both 17 years old. Together, they raised their only son, Michael King Jr, who passed away July 11, 2019.
Joyce attended college, and took the test for certification as an Enrolled Agent, passing the test on her first time. It is a difficult test, and Enrolled Agent is one of the highest levels of education for a tax preparer. She taught classes and did training for H&R Block tax preparation company. She would often volunteer to assist church groups, bowling leagues and many different organizations with overseeing their financial operations. Her kindness and compassion will be greatly missed.
