I was honored to be Dave's neighbor, I lived behind Dave for 15+yrs.Dave was and still is an inspiration to us all in the neighborhood on how to be kind,humble,caring,ect can't say enough about the cool dude Dave was,Dave always had a kind word to say,there was not anything that would stop him from doing anything around the house or in it,if it needed to be done,...he did it,too humble to ask for help,I liked hanging outside and shooting the breeze with him.I remember how when I was still working in the winter, if it snowed he would have my sidewalk cleared and many other neighbors too...soo giving, told him since I retired I will take care of it, he said he enjoyed it,that it got him out of the house,again nothing stops him.Dave my friend you are missed dearly by the ones whom lives you were part of,such an honor to have you in my life,RIP my friend until we hangout in your back yard again.Tim

I don’t even know , really , where to begin… you always included me … Sarah and I became a friends when we were 5 and my Biological wasn’t the greatest. He included me into the family in a lot of ways, he was an amazing example of what a real dad should be like. 37 years of his example in my life , I was truly blessed to have him accept me and love me like a daughter. Thank you Sarah and James for sharing him with me. I love you and I hope you are at peace <3

My favorite memories are when you would take a piece of wood and with your own hands carve it into a beautiful airplane. Or when you would strum your guitar and sing a song. I love you and will miss you David. Until we meet again...

David and I went to high school together at Edsel Ford. My first memory of him, other than occasionally hanging out and saying hello in the classroom, was that he was desperately trying to be a singer and I was desperately trying to be a bass player. One afternoon we found ourselves in the same room with a guitar player and a drummer. We played a song by Deep Purple called Highway Star. Somehow, we actually made it all the way thru to the end of the song and there was this dead silence that lasted for about 10 seconds but felt like forever. We were totally shocked that we made it thru without a trainwreck happening before we reached the end of the song. We busted out laughing. Good times. You're in better hands now David. No more pain. I'll see ya when I get there and we'll start another band. Your old friend, Kevin
