Raymond J. Allain. Age 89 of Southgate.
Beloved husband of late Margaret Whitacre-Allain. Loving father of Leslie (Andrew) Emond and Laurie Kelley. Dearest grandfather of Randy, Eric, Melissa, Lynn, Kevin, Amanda and Stephanie. Great grandfather of Mercury, Isis, Emily, Connor, Joseph, Catherine, Laura, Matthew, Hunter, Braxton and Ian. Proud uncle of many nieces and nephews. Also survived by his sister, Fern DeMattia. Preceded in death by parents Abraham “Raymond” Allain and Juliette LaCroix, children Raymond Allain and Lynn Allain, grandson Noah Allain and sisters Jeannine Tyrna and Claudette Rowden.

Family Tribute ~
Raymond J. Allain was a lineman for Detroit Edison for 44 years. Raymond was involved in the Enthronements of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, where he enthroned over 2,000 families in 38 years. In 2013, he was awarded “Man Of The Year” with the Men of the Sacred Heart. For 10 years, Raymond organized the Wyandotte Rosary Rally at Bishop Park. He was also involved with the Legion of Mary, The Blue Army, the Knights of Columbus and volunteered at St. Dominic Soup Kitchen with the Sisters of the Missionaries of Charity in Detroit. In Raymond’s free time he was an avid traveler and enjoyed woodworking.
